kingston post covid

As of May 2020, we opened our doors to all travellers and holiday-makers following the COVID-19 lockdown. We are pleased to see our friendly travellers back at the caravan park and enjoying some time by the sea.

The June and October long weekends along with school holidays have started filling already. Please book online here or call us on 08 8767 2050 if you want to secure a place in one of our one or two bedroom cabins or powered/unpowered sites.

These past few weeks while we have closed to non-essential travel have been a wonderful opportunity for us to plan for new facilities in the caravan park. So we’ve been quite busy during this lockdown time!

Here are some exciting announcements:

Essential and non-essential travellers are welcome

We are now welcoming all non-essential travellers once again to our caravan park which is on the foreshore at Kingston SE, and only 20 minutes from Robe. Please phone us if you want to discuss how we are managing COVID-19 and our sanitation practices. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have so that you feel comfortable and safe on your next visit.

Jumping pillow for the kids!

Our plans to install a jumping pillow for the kids have come to fruition. The jumping pillow is being planned for installation most likely in time for the October school holidays this year. So if you’re planning a holiday with the family and know your kids will appreciate jumping to their heart’s content, phone us to book your cabin or caravan site.

Communal fire pit

With winter on our doorstep, we’ve decided to set up a communal fire pit for our guests to warm up after a day’s activities and share stories with other travellers and holiday-makers. The communal fire pit will be an opportunity to meet other people. You’ll be able to sit and enjoy a glass of red wine from one of our four Mount Benson local wineries, play a guitar, tell tales from the many things to do in Kingston for the day or even start a sing-a-long camping tune!

More open grassed areas in front of the cabins

We have always had plenty of space at the caravan park for our guests to meander, relax or sit in the sun. We’ve recently extended these spaces and created more grassed open spaces in front of our cabins. You can sit in the sunshine or under a tree, with a book, for a snooze, or for a picnic with the family.

The Humpalicious Camel Farm located in Robe is a unique experience in Australia for the whole family. The farm is a small scale, chemical free, renewably powered camel farm producing pure and whole camel milk. And it’s only a short drive away.
