Spring is in the air and the township of Kingston in South Australia is celebrating the change of seasons with our well-known festivals over the springtime.

It’s a perfect opportunity to bring your family and friends to the Limestone Coast of Australia as there is something for everyone to enjoy in the region – wineries, historical walks, fishing, boating and more.

Here’s a list of upcoming festivals:

The Kingston Annual Show

The Kingston Show is now in its 134th year and is a family friendly event with many things to do and see for all ages.

Held over the October long weekend, this year’s theme is “Coastal Living”.

Some of the popular attractions returning this year are Me ‘n me mates, Dinkum Dinosaurs, James’ Travelling Magic Show, Jamie & Kym’s Mobile Zoo and Cow Girls with Wings.

There will be horse events, face painting, games, arts and crafts, pony rides and vintage cars. There will also be livestock competitions and exhibitions. And of course all those show favourites such as fairy floss, toffee apples and donuts plus many more treats and showbags to enjoy.

When: Sunday October 6th from 8am

Where: Gall Park, East Terrace, Kingston SE, South Australia

The Robe Beer Festival

Robe transforms its main street into a festival celebrating craft beer and cider for the annual Robe Beer Festival which is in its 6th year. There will be competitions for best homebrewed beers and ciders running all day and winners will be announced in the evening.

The festival is a fun event for families and people of all ages, with live music, food, beer and cider tastings, and plenty of food and drink stalls with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

When: Saturday October 26th

Where: Robe Foreshore

Crayfish season opens October 2019

The crayfish season officially starts in October in Kingston and Robe. Keen fishing enthusiasts visit Kingston every year to catch the renowned Southern Rock Lobster as it is also called. Visit the PIRSA website for information on licenses, quotas and general fishing information.

If you’re not up to fishing but just want to enjoy some fresh crayfish, the local seafood shops will be selling fresh, straight out of the ocean crayfish for your evening dinner. The local pubs will also have it on their menus.

Stay at Kingston Foreshore Caravan Park and enjoy the local spring festivals

Spring is a beautiful time to visit the foreshore of Kingston, which is where our caravan park is located – overlooking the peaceful waters of Lacepede Bay and only 20 minutes from Robe.
