Easter in Kingston SE is a time for family and friends to meet up and enjoy each other’s company. Over the four days of the Easter long weekend, there will be events and activities for families, single and couples in Kingston.
The 19th Annual Kingston Offshore Fishing Competition
Now considered South Australia’s largest boat fishing competition, it attracts anglers from far and wide across the state. Over two days, boats with up to four anglers compete for the ‘Outstanding Catch’ title. There is a prize pool of $25,000 to be won across the following 8 categories – snapper, whiting, garfish, shark, flathead, mullet/tommy, tuna and lobster.

Free Easter Puppet Performance at New Life
New Life/Cafe Kids have been putting on a free Easter Egg Fete for the last 8 years and it has become an event the community looks forward to year after year. Café Kids is a place to go for young and old and enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee or a light snack while the kids stay occupied with many things to do.
On Easter Saturday, the fete starts at 9am and will include a puppet performance and disco dancing, a sausage sizzle, steak sandwiches, steaming hot chocolate, hot cross buns and free Easter eggs for the kids!

Kingston Royal Flying Doctor Service Easter Plant Sale
The annual plant sale is a major fund raiser for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Kingston. There will be all sorts of plants – indoor, outdoor, large and small! The plants are all grown by the locals and who knows what sorts of interesting and exotic plants might be available at the sale.
An Easter raffle will be drawn at 12 pm. The first prize is a fire pit, second prize is a trailer load of wood, third prize is a basket of Easter eggs.

Easter on the Lawn at Wangolina Winery
Bring your own chairs and blankets and enjoy a picnic with free entry to the annual Wangolina Winery Easter on the Lawn event. There will be live music by Jackson Greene, food by Stonies Fine Fast Foods, wine, beer and for the kids, an Easter egg hunt and face-painting. A good day out for everyone.

Kingston SE Lions Club, Maria Creek Easter Duck Classic
The Maria Creek Easter Duck Creek Classic started in 2017 and is becoming an annual event with more than 500 rubber ducks taking part. The ducks are all primed and ready to go again for 2019 and they are looking forward to it.
Maria Creek is a popular fishing and boating spot in Kingston. Take the family down for this event and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun. There will be stalls and car boot sales starting earlier with prizes and raffles drawn on the day.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is running their annual Family Fun Dog Show on Good Friday and the Kingston Show Society is also having their Annual Cake Stall on Saturday morning which will be located next to the newsagency in town
Bliss Cafe in Hanson Street will be hosting an Acoustic Live Music event on Good Friday from 11am-1pm and you might find a bargain there too on their 50% sale table!
