Join us these summer holidays for food and wine events, fishing competitions, family-friendly activities and plenty of live music. At Kingston SE, there’s something on for all ages.

Kingston Christmas Pageant on 13th December 2019, from 6.30 pm

Our annual Christmas Pageant is on again with floats, live music, food stalls, a lobster trail and free face painting for the kids. The fireworks start at 9.15pm. The venue is Kingston Lions Park on Hanson Street.

The Twilight Markets on Friday 27 December 2019, 4.30pm till late

Every year the Twilight Markets return with new performers, food and plenty of activities for young and old alike. The markets are held on Agnes Street in Kingston, open from 4.30pm till late with shops, food stalls, beer and wine. For the kids there’s face painting, a jumping castle and more.

The Kingston Treasure Hunt from December 2019 through January 2020

This event runs through the summer school holidays. Drop into the Kingston Visitor Information Centre or the KFCP to find out more.

The Kingston Foreshore Festival on Saturday 4 January 2020, 2pm till 12am

Headlining the 2020 Kingston Foreshore Festival is renowned Australian singer and songwriter DIESEL. Along with a line-up of other great artists, there’ll be entertainment for the whole family.

The festival is held on the foreshore of Kingston in front of Cape Jaffa Lighthouse overlooking Lacepede Bay. A kid’s zone includes a bucking bull, inflatable castles, face painting and a mobile zoo. A variety of food, wine and beer stalls will be available on the day and as always, lighting the night sky a fireworks display at 9.30pm!

Cape Jaffa Seafood and Wine Festival on Sunday 12 January, 10.30am-5pm

The Cape Jaffa Seafood and Wine Festival is one of the longest running food and wine events on the Limestone Coast. Held on the Cape Jaffa Foreshore overlooking Lacepede Bay, taste the finest local produce the Limestone Coast has to offer and delicious local wines and beer from the Mount Benson & Robe wine regions.

Maton Season Full Band and Soul Sleuth are back again this year so you can dance the night away overlooking the sea. And for the kids – sandcastle competitions and face painting!

The Annual Lions Surf Fishing Competition on 17-19 January 2020

The 41st Annual Surf Fishing Competition in Kingston welcomes people of all ages from all over South Australia. The competition happens along 87 kms of coast from Kingston to the Coorong with a prize pool of $25,000.

The fish caught are many and varied – mulloway, sharks, stingrays, flathead, mullet and tommy roughs.

Kingston Lion’s Club Junior Fishing Competition on Sunday 5 January 2020

This annual fishing event is for kids who love or want to try their hand at fishing. Just turn up and register on the day, entry is free. Registrations is at 8am for a 9am start at the Kingston Jetty.

KSET Wind Festival 18-26 January 2020

The KSET Wind Festival is a new event at Kingston. Every year around Australia Day wind conditions in Kingston are ideal for kite flying. Blokart racers from around the country come to Lake Nadzab to race their land yachts. All are invited to watch the action and even come and try blokart racing with the land yachties.

The Adelaide Kite Flyers and their giant kites will be opposite Kingston Foreshore Caravan Park throughout the week with the kite display on Australia Day.

Australia Day Celebrations and Ceremony on Sunday 26 January 2020

Australia Day Celebrations are happening again this year in Kingston from 8:00am to 11:00am and everyone is welcome. Breakfast is from 7.30am with the presentation ceremony at 9.30am. The awards include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year.

The event is held at Kingston SE Lions Park, Hanson Street, Kingston.
