At Kingston Foreshore Caravan Park, we take the safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members seriously. We are devastated by the impact of COVID-19, as we know you will be as well – as a society, we are all in this together.
Following the recent government updates, in particular, the advice around non-essential travel, we wanted to reach out to you to let you know the changes we have made in order to look after our guests and staff.
In order to provide a safe space for those essential travellers who need access to our park, we have had to make the difficult decision to no longer accept bookings or arrivals for non-essential travel at this time.
Essential travel as set down by South Australian Emergency Management Act 2004 includes travel that is related to:
- National and state security and governance
- Health services
- Essential medical treatment
- Transport and freight services
- Skills critical to maintaining key industries or businesses
- Emergency Services workers
- Cross border community members
- Passing through (travellers will need to make their own enquiries about entry into their final state destination)
- Compassionate grounds
Kingston Foreshore Caravan Park is aware that some travellers, largely international travellers or persons whose recreational vehicle is their primary place of residence have been displaced by the introduction of COVID-19 travel restrictions. Please advise if this situation applies to you. Accommodation at the Kingston Foreshore Caravan Park will then be at the discretion of Park Management.
Please note all existing bookings up until 31 May 2020 are now CANCELLED. We will reassess the situation as more information comes to light and we get a directive from the government. All booking deposits will not be forfeited but will be held in credit for future stays.
If however your booking was deemed to be for essential travel as per the list above, please contact us on 08 8767 2050 to discuss your travel accommodation needs.
For those essential travellers who will be staying with us over the coming weeks and months, please note you will be asked to complete a travel declaration on arrival. We strongly urge you to use and respect social distancing and practice good hygiene to protect against infection and prevent the virus from spreading.
While the situation is out of our hands, we are deeply sorry that your holiday plans have been inconvenienced in this way. However, this is for the greater good.
We wish you and your families all the best in these times of uncertainty.
