There is plenty happening in Kingston SE these summer holidays through December and January for the whole family.

 

2021 Mayoral Christmas Parade and Family Evening – Friday December 10, 2021

 

Our popular and much anticipated annual Christmas Parade will start at Apex Park at 6.30pm, and end at Lions Park. There will be food and drink stalls, entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display at the end of the evening. There will also be a Lobster Trail which is a treasure hunt for the kids in which many of our local businesses take part. This is a wonderful family event for all ages.

Cape Jaffa Wines Summer Seasons – December 5, 11, 12 and more

 

Cape Jaffa Wines have brought back their Summer Sessions for the third year in a row. Take the family as they have something for everyone. You can relax while sipping on a glass of wine or beer on the deck, and the kids can play games on the lush front lawn. Cape Jaffa Wines is a fifteen minute drive from the caravan park. Sunset Sessions at Crown Inn Kingston – January 8, 2022

 

The 2022 Crown Inn Sunset Sessions are also back! This live music event features Reece Mastin supported by local band Axis.

Shine On Kingston! January 14 – 16, 2022

 

This event celebrates Cape Jaffa Lighthouse and includes exhibitions, art displays, food, wine and a lantern parade from the jetty to the lighthouse. Here are some more details about the event and contact us to find out more.

 

The Annual Lions Surf Fishing Competition – 22 and 23 January 2022

 

The Annual Surf Fishing Competition in Kingston is on again this year and in its 43rd year. Registrations start January 1st.  The competition occurs along 87 kms of coast from Kingston to the Coorong with a prize pool of $25,000.  Prize catches include mulloway, sharks, stingrays, flathead, mullet and tommy roughs.

Australia Day Celebrations and Ceremony – Wednesday 26 January 2022

 

Australia Day Celebrations are happening again this year in Kingston from 8:00am to 11:00am and everyone is welcome. Breakfast is from 7.30am with the presentation ceremony at 9.30am. The awards include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year.

The event is held at Kingston SE Lions Park, Hanson Street, Kingston. Please note COVID restrictions will apply.

On the day we also have the pleasure of many kite enthusiasts who visit on Australia Day and fly all sorts of kites on the beach – you’ll see some big ones!
